Friday I left the United States to travel to Finland for a very special mission.  I am purchasing and bringing home a new Portuguese Podengo Pequeno with me.  I had a fun day yesterday traveling around Helsinki and sightseeing.  Today, however, was the highlight of my trip.  I met David, our new Podengo Pequeno (smooth).

 

I am writing this from my hotel room as David and I get to know each other.   From the photo I think you can tell we are doing well.  He is very relaxed and happy to nap at my feet.  Tomorrow, David and I fly back home to JFK and he will join our other Podengos at Star Mountain Kennel.  We are excited to have a new Podengo Pequeno and even more excited about the thought of puppies in the future.
